6.1 ANDROID: how to set up the mobile Canvas Parent app
Note: These are the instructions for the Android mobile app. Skip this page and click "Next" at the bottom right to see instructions for installing the Apple IOS app.
Canvas Parent Android Guide
1. Download the App from the Google Play Store- Click Here for more information if needed Links to an external site.
3. Find Your School: To find Birdville, tap the "Find School button"
4. Begin typing in the name "Birdville ISD - Parent [1]. When the full name appears in the search list, tap the name [2].
5. If you already have created a Canvas Parent account log into the app using your email and the password you created when you set up your account. You will see your student and his/her classes (if the teacher has published them). Now follow this link to learn how to communicate directly with your child's teacher through the Canvas Parent app.
If you still need to set up your Canvas Parent Account? Please follow the instructions below:
1. To create an account, tap the Create Account link.
2. Create Your Account
- Enter your name in the Your Name field [1]
- email address in the Your Email field [2]
- create a new password by entering it in the Password field [3].
- Confirm your new password in the Re-enter Password field [4]
3. Enter the 6-digit alphanumeric student pairing code you retrieved from your student's Canvas account Settings
Remember that the code is case-sensitive.
- After your account is created, you can link additional students Links to an external site. to your account in the Parent app.
4. Click in the box to agree to the terms [1] and complete your registration by clicking on the "Start Participating" button [2]
5. View your student's courses.
