6.1 APPLE IOS: how to set up the mobile Canvas Parent app
1. Download the Canvas Parent App from the Apple Store
2. Tap the Canvas Parent icon to open.
3. Tap "Find School"
4. Begin typing in "Birdville ISD - Parents." When the full name appears in the search list, tap the name Birdville ISD - Parents.
Create an Account or Log-in
If you already have created your account, simply log in! You may click here to move onto the next part of this training (Setting up Notifications)
The instructions following will talk about creating an account using the Canvas Parent App
To create an account, tap the Create Account link.
Note: If the Create Account link account does not display, your student's institution has disabled creating accounts for observers.
Create Account Credentials

Enter your name in the Your Name field [1] and email address in the Your Email field [2]. Then create a new password by entering it in the Password field [3]. Confirm your new password in the Re-enter Password field [4]. |
Enter Pairing Code
Enter the six-digit alphanumeric pairing code for the student you want to link to in the Student Pairing Code field.
Notes:
- Students can generate pairing codes Links to an external site. from their User Settings (instructions are here).
Complete Registration
To complete your registration, agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy [1]. Then tap the Start Participating button [2].
View Parent App
View your linked student in the Canvas Parent app.
Click Next to Continue to Learn more, or go back to the menu by clicking on "Modules" on the left
