Benefits of using the Canvas Inbox:

      • Clean and Easy to Use: Not a new email address, just an additional option for accessing your email.
      • Purposeful: The only people who can contact you through Canvas are those who are connected to you through a course or organization in Canvas.
      • Contacts Pre-Populated: Users attached to your courses are pre-populated in your address book.

  Netiquette Email Tips

      • You are expected to be respectful toward your instructor and fellow classmates in person and online.
      • Typing in ALL CAPS indicates yelling, may cause hurt feelings, and is often harder to read
      • Avoid text/chat language such as LOL and BRB in class emails, discussions, and assignments. Text abbreviations are rarely accepted within graded assignments.
      • All electronic communication should be free from profanity and inappropriate images. All electronic communication should be polite, to the point, spell checked and on topic.
      • When emailing an instructor, include in the subject line: your name and course identifier. Example: Jaime Diaz ITE 115 1W0V
