5.4 Setting up your Notifications on the Computer
Notifications can only be managed using the web version of Canvas. In order to follow along with the following instructions, you must log in with your parent account on a computer.
1. Login to your Birdville Canvas Parent Account at https://birdville.instructure.com/login/canvas
2. Click on "Courses" on the left Global Menu [1]
OR click "Dashboard" on the Global Menu and then on the course card for the course you would like to view
2. Open a Course
In Global Navigation, click the Courses link [1], then click the name of the course [2]. OR click on dashboard and the click on a course card in your Dashboard
2. Open Course Notifications
In the course right home page sidebar, click the View Course Notifications button.
3. View Course Notification Settings
You can "Enable Notifications"
The Course Notification Settings page allows you to enable or disable all notifications for the course.
4. Manage Individual Notifications
To manage notifications for specific course features, click the notification icon for the notification method [1]. You can select how often you want to receive notifications for the course. Options include Notify immediately [2], Daily summary [3], Weekly summary [4], or Notifications off [5].

You can view your course notification status on your course home page. The View Course Notifications button icon displays if course notifications are enabled [1] or disabled [2].
